Extraction Operations Manager


POSITION SUMMARY: Operations Manager, Extraction, will supervise all aspects of on-site extraction operations including intake of material, inventory management and control, production scheduling for both Extraction and Packaging teams and finished goods management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct Daily and Weekly Production Schedule for Extraction and Packaging to ensure that production capacity achieved and maximized Manage Direct Reports (Extraction Technicians, Inventory Associate, Packagers, Drivers) to Achieve Agreed Goals and Production Milestones Coordinate moving parts to growing business unit: projecting supplies needs and budgets, ordering supplies in cost efficient manner, anticipating needs and demands as business scales, escalating concerns and identify roadblocks in timely and productive manner Input data and production numbers into ExactMax ERP system Dynamic problem solving for inventory issues related to checks-and-balance controls Lead on coordinating with independent testing labs: submitting samples for testing, tracking and documenting samples and results, reporting to clients Draft SOPs, Develop Repeatable Processes for Extraction Operations to become scalable, efficient operation Training and Supervision of Junior Staff and Packaging Staff Coordinating with Cypress Manufacturing on oil/material needs, accounting and general administrative needs When applicable, report necessary data to state-required track and trace systems. Be fluent in state and local regulations and operating requirements, while being the point of contact for official compliance and risk management policies and procedures. OTHER RESPONSIBILITES: Spreadsheet creation and upkeep for real-time data reporting, other types of organizational data reporting, rolling up sleeves and jumping in on the packaging line (leading by example, in some cases, and in order to set a benchmark on packaging speeds), client communications, internal management and executive communications and progress meetings. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3-5 Years management or related field (procurement, manufacturing, inventory) experience Proven Track Record of Leadership and Ability to Build Work Culture for a Small, High-Performing Team Appetite to gain thorough understanding of cannabis supply chain and production techniques High School Diploma – BA or BS preferred Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year Required experience: Manufacturing: 3 years Required education: Bachelor's
