DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * · Fertilizer liquid concentrate production and coordination required for the cultivation facility crop production based on the Cultivation Manager inventory demands. Order needed dry salts and other components/formulations required to make concentrate. Keep records on inventory levels and stock to make demand predictions. Weigh dry fertilizer salts and adds them to water in the fertilizer mixing system to make fertilizer liquid concentrate. Bottle, store, stock and restock all fertilizer tanks. Log fertilizer usage rates; maintain backup/restocking inventory of fertilizer. Cleaning and Sanitation of mixing equipment, apparatuses, and areas. · Maintain, calibrate, service, and repair equipment in a regulated industry. · Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas. · Troubleshoot and disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete. · Install, replace, construct, enhance, or modify machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools. · Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning. · Respond to service calls and complete work orders. · Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers. · Position machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly or installation, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment. · Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist other skilled workers with similar tasks. · Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools. · Clean or lubricate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment. · Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools. · Tend and observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation. · Apply protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion. · Document work performed per Standard Operating Procedures and Requirements. · Follow, revise, and write Standard Operating Procedures. · Order new parts to maintain inventory. · Diagnose electrical problems and install and rewire electrical components. · Prepare work stations for use by the various cultivation facility departments and work areas. · Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities. · Participate or lead in Continuous Improvement Projects. · Perform and develop preventive and predictive maintenance; assess impact on reliability. · Work closely with other teams. · Work collaboratively, collectively and respectfully with other team members or alone, as deemed necessary by business needs. · Additional duties as assigned by management. · Commit to safety and high-quality results. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 2+ years of experience working in an agricultural/horticultural or industrial environment, or other comparable experience. Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization. Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it. Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above. Throughout extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the work day. Must be capable of sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above. General tool, hardware, ladder, electrical, and building skills. Must be able to use a 24’ extension ladder and work at heights up to 30 feet. Ability to read schematics, blue prints, drawings. Computer experience, with ability to use Microsoft Office Suite. At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US. Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week and to be flexible with schedule. Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location and use of PPE: Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in facilities repair or maintenance or other comparable skilled trades experience. Experience with Plumbing, HVAC Systems, and Controlled Environments. Experience in Manufacturing and knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP). Working knowledge of reliability centered maintenance and enterprise asset management methods and best practices. Practical understanding of theory and operation of RO water systems. OSHA and other safety certifications. EDUCATION * Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent is required. *The above requirements describe the general nature and level of work only.
