Kiva’s Human Resource Manager guides and manages policies, practices and programs with the goal of creating high performance teams for a growing mid-sized company. This position is tasked with recruiting, on-boarding, training, coaching, policy development, performance reviews, budgeting and supporting the leadership team. Roles and Responsibilities Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings. Responsible for company safety, wellness, and employee recognition programs Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews. Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs. Maintains compensation plan by conducting periodic surveys; conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions. Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results; training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors. Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records and documentation. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains human resource staff. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree. 3 or more years experience in direct Human Resources role. Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development. Better than average written and spoken communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills. Excellent computer skills. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes. Experience in a manufacturing and Union environment a plus.
