About

The Infusion Technician supports the Operations and FSQA Department in its endeavor to sustain and grow the business at Kiva Brands through development and maintenance of a robust quality and regulatory system. This individual is responsible for the daily infusion of production batches, maintaining and organizing cannabis inventory, assisting in preparing cannabis for edible use, preparing cannabis samples for third party lab testing, and assisting the Extraction Lead in daily tasks. Responsabilities: - Tasks related to cannabis trim intake; initial contact with delivery drivers, inspection, re-bagging, labeling, and data entry (must be able to pick up and move 20-30lb bags over head) - Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and infusion prep area. - Maintaining safety equipment, chemical material safety data sheets, and records. - Operating, maintaining, and making adjustments and repairs to infusion equipment such as blenders, sieves, mixers, and ovens. - Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed. - Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate. - Assisting in batch-making (emulsions, liquids, powder, hard-boiled, chews & tablets for edibles) with current technology and new technology. - Responsible to maintain adherence to cGMP’s (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures). - Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware. - Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, filing, and answering telephone inquiries. - Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: - Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with cannabis required. - Knowledge of cannabis extraction methods preferred, but not require - Knowledge of medical marijuana law and medicinal benefits - Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task - Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment - Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or its equivalent, from a recognized college or university, with a major in chemistry or a related field preferred but not required - High School Diploma or equivalent Compensation: $16-22 per hour Job Type: Full-time
