Sales and Distribution Manager


Peregrine Manufacturing is hiring a Sales and Distribution Manager. We manufacture a variety of cannabis extracted and infused products. The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is directly responsible for the profitable achievement of the territory’s sales volume goal, both in terms of dollars, units and returns. Responsible for implementation and achievement of sales operational programs and policies within assigned district. The TSM will develop and implement Peregrine brand activation programs throughout the local market and participate in special events. The TSM may engage in social media activity through agreed upon platforms to market key sales initiatives. Key Job Responsibilities : Deliver on key performance indicators for revenue, volume and controllable expenses in order to achieve the key objectives for assigned sales area. Develop strategic plans to deliver on sales targets in order to grow overall business within existing accounts and pursue business relationships with expansion customers to generate new business Engage salespeople in all facets of planning route sales activity, including order management, daily distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, and holiday planning in order to meet the customers’ in-store expectations Help retail customers position and display merchandise; educate provisioning center sales staff on brand differentiators – what makes Peregrine products better; Meet key performance targets; execute procedures and programs to increase team productivity, team effectiveness, & quality of work Utilize sales data to help drive effective decisions with the salesperson as well as drive brand growth with customers through the acquisition of new space and displays. Establish effective customer relationships to initiate and maximize sales; ensure client retention by exceeding expectations with new and current customers Execute on all growth opportunities to grow market share on strategic brands through the execution of incremental displays. Measure and evaluate specific territory business (KPI’s, trends, gaps/opportunities, what’s working/not working). Provide solutions where gaps exist and execute these solutions accordingly. Partner with 3rd party providers, where applicable, to execute merchandising required after the sales initiatives are sold in (i.e. displays, seasonal, shelving initiatives, distribution/on shelf availability). Run company routes as needed Additional duties as assigned. Position Requirements : Key Behavioral Competencies: Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to respond effectively to direction if needed; works primarily as an independent contributor. Accountable to lead entire projects having modest scope/impact or portions of projects having considerable scope/impact on business results. Ability to manage a moderately complex problem. Ability to exchange detailed information and communicate messages to reach consensus. Ability to manage a project budget. Education and Work History: Bachelor Degree in business or related field preferred. 3-5 years of related experience in customer relations or sales. Ideal candidate will possess: Excellent interpersonal skills mandatory! Experience with cannabis products; the ability to speak conversationally and authentically with other cannabis enthusiasts Enthusiasm for and knowledge of the Michigan cannabis market Someone who can juggle multiple projects under tight constraints and still meet all deadlines. Marketing, promotion, event management and/or sales merchandising experience At least 6 months experience leading and influencing others. A combination of training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Computer skills and proficiency, specifically Excel and Word is required.
